A well-known character will appear in the National Treasure series on Disney+.

After appearing in both of Nicolas Cage’s National Treasure films, Justin Bartha will reprise his role as Riley Poole on the upcoming television series, which will premiere later this year. Riley will appear as a guest star in the series, which is now filming in Louisiana; however, the specifics of how Riley will re-enter the tale are being kept under wraps for now.

It was announced last year that National Treasure would be renewed for a second season. Lisette Alexis will star as Jess, a brilliant and resourceful Dreamer who embarks on the journey of a lifetime to uncover the truth about her family’s mysterious past and recover a long-forgotten Pan-American treasure. Described as a “extension” of the movie franchise, the show has now established a solid relationship to the two films, which were released in 2004 and 2007, as a result of Bartha’s casting.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, Zuri Reed, Jordan Rodrigues, Antonio Cipriano, Jake Austin Walker, and Lyndon Smith are among the other actors who appear in the series.

Both films are executive produced by Cormac and Marianne Wibberley, who wrote the screenplays for both films (along with Jim Kouf on the first), as well as Jerry Bruckheimer (who produced the films); Jonathan Littman and KristieAnne Reed of Jerry Bruckheimer TV; Rick Muirragui, who also serves as writer; Jon Turteltaub; and director Mira Nair.

Along with her work on the National Treasure films, Bartha has appeared in films such as the Hangover trilogy, The Good Fight, Epix’s Godfather of Harlem, and Netflix’s Sweet Girl, among others. CAA, MGMT Entertainment, and Jackoway Tyerman are all representing him.
