Capcom has announced that Resident Evil Village will receive downloadable content (DLC) shortly. The DLC is still in development and was designed in response to public demand.

A note during the broadcast stated that the DLC had “started production by popular demand,” as announced during the E3 2021 Showcase.

Capcom hasn’t revealed anything yet, but this DLC may include extra material concerning Resident Evil Village’s most popular character, Lady Dimitrescu.

It’s also plausible that Ada Wong, who was meant to appear in Resident Evil Village, will make a comeback in this new DLC. Early concept art that may be unlocked in the game reveals Wong’s character.

While this is wonderful news for Resident Evil Village fans, this additional DLC may likely take some time to arrive.

There appear to be no plans in the works, and no statements about its release have been made, although Resident Evil 7 will have a season pass available at launch, as The Verge points out.

At the E3 2021 Showcase, it was also stated that Resident Evil RE: Verse, an online multiplayer game, will be released next month and would be free for all gamers who have purchased Resident Evil Village.

Capcom has revealed that they would be focused on updates for Resident Evil Village, Monster Hunter Rise, Monster Hunter Stories 2, and The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles ahead of their E3 2021 Showcase.

That is precisely what they have done thus far. Capcom has also released a dynamic storey trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2 and stated that a free trial demo would be available on June 25.

Additionally, when the complete game opens on July 9, players will carry over their saved game progress.

At E3 2021, a slew of huge announcements was made, including details on Microsoft’s long-awaited Halo Infinite, Ubisoft’s upcoming Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora game, Battlefield 2042 more.

More information regarding the announcements made at E3 2021 can be found here, here, and here.
