While the Marvel Cinematic Universe prepares to resume its amazing Phase 4 schedule in a few weeks, fans can now get their first glimpse at a new hero who will appear in that slate: Kamala Khan. This is courtesy to the first complete teaser for Ms. Marvel, which will premiere on Disney+ on June 8 before Iman Vellani and Brie Larson star in the film on the big screen.
Fans got a glimpse into the young new heroine’s life as an Avengers fangirl and future Avenger as she prepares to join Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in the trailer.
Kamala Khan is prepared for a whirlwind voyage in learning what it means to be a hero ahead of her first MCU film, which she will star in alongside Carol Danvers and Monica Rambeau. This series will be something fresh in the MCU’s developing heritage, setting up a true coming-of-age storey for Vellani’s protagonist as she interacts with school, family, and ordinary teenager issues.
Following its introduction, the first trailer soon became the topic of the MCU community, especially because it was the next project to premiere after Moon Knight and Doctor Strange 2. Following the debut of the trailer, MCU stars from all corners expressed their insights on what to expect in the franchise’s 35th film since 2008.
Stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe React to the Ms. Marvel Trailer
MCU stars and filmmakers rushed to social media after the premiere of the first teaser for Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel to express their enthusiasm for the Disney+ series’ release.
Brie Larson, who plays Captain Marvel, sent Iman Vellani an encouraging note ahead of their team-up in 2023’s The Marvels: Infinity War.
“Kamala, you ARE a superhero.”
Simu Liu, star of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, joined in, adding that Marvel Studios projects connect to individuals of different backgrounds, predicting that Ms. Marvel will appeal to both those who are represented in the series and those who are seeing it from the outside:
“Miss Marvel, like other Marvel ventures, is aimed at a broad audience. This one appears to have a very broad and diverse target audience. If you’re in it, this will be highly beneficial to you. It will also work great for you if you aren’t. ;)”
“Marvel sets a new standard! Marvel, thank you for capturing the reality we live in. Kamala, welcome to the family!”
Kumail Nanjiani, star of Eternals, anticipates Iman Vellani to be “wonderful” in her own series, and the trailer elicited nothing but positive emotions. The Pakistani-American actor/comedian behind Kingo was moved by the MCU’s increased portrayal of folks like him:
“This trailer made me feel all of the good feelings I’m capable of. In this show, Iman Vellani is going to be incredible. I CAN’T WAIT ANY LONGER.”
Before his Marvel debut in just under three months, Ms. Marvel star Saagar Shaikh expressed his gratitude for being “fortunate” to be a part of the MCU:
“Alhumdulillah, I’m so grateful to be a part of this. Disney+ premieres on June 8th.”
Rish Shah, Shaikh’s co-star, simply expressed his delight at the opportunity to share his work with MCU fans at the series’ Disney+ premiere:
“I’m really looking forward to sharing this with the rest of the world on June 8th.”
Zenobia Shroff, who also appears in Ms. Marvel, previewed how much havoc she is experiencing in her own life as a result of the trailer’s crazy. Shroff, like Ruffalo, praised the representation in this series as she anticipates its premiere:
“I’m writing this in the midst of extreme turmoil, as my apartment is being painted and a few new things are being added while old ones are being removed. It feels right. My head is a little jumbled as well, but it’s a beautiful crazy for a change ha ha. Please join us on this adventure. This is how representation works! This is brown power in action! Miss Marvel is here!!”
Director Kate Herron of Loki Season 1 tweeted the trailer along with a short statement honouring Bisha K. Ali. Herron and Ali have worked together in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before, with Ali writing Episode 3 of Loki before becoming the head writer and executive producer on Ms. Marvel: Infinity War.
“Yes, Bisha K. Ali,” says Bisha.
What Would Happen If…? A.C. Bradley, a writer/executive producer, teased that she was involved in the development of Ms. Marvel and expressed her excitement for fans to see the film:
“Aaaahhhh! It was an incredible honour for me to lend a hand (pun intended) on this incredible event! I can’t wait for Ms. Marvel to be discovered by the rest of the world.”
Sana Amanat, a Ms. Marvel comic writer, shared the trailer and tagged G. Willow Wilson, the character’s creator, as well as Ali, teasing how busy she’s been:
“I’ve been quite busy. The #msmarvel trailer is now available.”
Julian Hilliard of WandaVision made his comment brief and simple, expressing his excitement to witness Kamala Khan in action:
“I’m really looking forward to this one!”
In 2022, Ms. Marvel will bring excitement to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
MCU fans and stars alike are always giddy when a new trailer is released, which is exactly what is happening right now with Ms. Marvel. Even yet, it’s exciting to see the level of actors and filmmakers who are so eager to see this show come to life, especially because of the diversity it will bring to the series.
As fans prepare to witness Brie Larson and Iman Vellani play two of the sequel’s three formidable heroines, seeing her so excited for her The Marvels co-star is something special. Furthermore, Vellani receiving assistance from someone as experienced as Mark Ruffalo is humbling as he prepares for his own Disney+ project, She-Hulk.
Now, fans are eager to see more of what Ms. Marvel will bring to the MCU storey, as the young heroine’s genuine introduction is awaited. Fans will get a new flavour of what it’s like to grow up in a world full of superheroes as she spends time with her high school friends and family, despite fears about how her powers will translate.
On June 8, 2022, Ms. Marvel will premiere on Disney+.
