Premiere of House of the Dragon: Where and When to Watch

House of the Dragon

Fans of Game of Thrones will finally be able to watch the long-awaited prequel House of the Dragon on Monday, when it comes out on Disney Plus Hotstar.

House of the Dragon was partly based on George RR Martin’s book Fire and Blood, which came out in 2018. The show, made by Martin and Ryan J. Condal, is about House Targaryen and takes place 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones. It will show the “Dance of the Dragons” war between the Targaryens over who should be king.

Some of the actors who are in House of the Dragon are Paddy Considine, Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, and Steve Toussaint. In the UK, filming for the show began in 2020. The first season of a weekly show has 10 episodes.

House of the Dragon has gotten a lot of attention because of Game of Thrones, one of the most popular TV shows of the last ten years. From 2011 to 2019, the amazing stories in Game of Thrones kept people watching. During this time, all of the cast members, but especially Kit Harington, Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Richard Madden, Sophie Turner, and Maisie Williams, broke through.

Fans hope that House of the Dragon will keep them as interested as the first series did, even though it was made by different people than Game of Thrones.

The first episode of House of the Dragon will air on August 22 at 6:30 IST.
