Just recently, the second volume of Stranger Things Season 4 came out, and fans couldn’t wait to see the show’s next-to-last season. Even though Season 5 will be the last, fans won’t have to say goodbye to the Upside Down just yet because Matt and Ross Duffer have said they are working on a spin-off show for the franchise. David Harbour recently talked about how a younger version of Hopper might be in the spin-off, but it’s still not clear if the original characters will be in it or not.
In an interview with GQ, the actor who plays the much-loved character Jim Hopper on the show talked about who he thinks should play a younger version of Hopper in the Stranger Things spin-off. He suggested that Jacob Elordi, who was in the movie Euphoria, be chosen for the part. Harbour told us, “He could have pulled off being as beautiful as I was when I was 20. You’ll probably hear about any spin-offs as soon as the show ends or maybe six months before.”
David also gave more information about how Hopper’s character could be made more interesting for the spin-off show by saying, “At this point, I think Hopper is a character who can live on without me. If they want to go back in time or go forward in time, I’d be very curious to see how another actor would play Hopper and what they could bring to the table.”
We think that if Jacob Elordi played a younger version of Hopper in the Stranger Things universe, the audience would be overjoyed by the news. Elordi has already gotten a lot of praise for his performance as Nate in Zendaya’s show.
