Netflix has released the trailer for Season 4 of Stranger Things.

Stranger Things: Season 4 has now gotten its debut trailer on Netflix.

“Without you, we can’t win this war,” Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is informed in the teaser for the new Netflix series “Hawkins.” To accompany the visuals, the song “Separate Ways” by Journey from 1983 was used.

When it comes to season four, the Duffer brothers have dubbed it their “Game of Thrones season,” because they’re presenting an epic tale with a wide cast of characters in multiple locales (nine episodes).

Season four’s official synopsis is as follows: “Six months had passed since the Battle of Starcourt wreaked havoc on Hawkins. For the first time, our circle of friends is split up, and high school difficulties have made things much more tough. New and terrifying supernatural threats emerge at this vulnerable time, revealing a grisly enigma that could ultimately put a stop to the Upside Down’s atrocities.”

There will be two sections to this season. Season four’s first episode, titled “Volume 1,” will run on May 27. (three years after season three aired). While “Volume 2,” the second half of Season 4, will premiere on July 1.

It was also just confirmed that this will be “The Last Season” of the show on the streamer.

A seven-year plan for Stranger Things was devised by the show’s creators Matt and Ross Duffer last month, who penned an open letter to fans of the show. The plot was expected to endure between four and five seasons at the time.” We couldn’t fit it all within four episodes, but as you’ll see, we’re now speeding toward the end. … We haven’t spoken in quite some time. Stranger Things 4 was the most difficult season of the show’s history, but it was also the most rewarding. It had nine scripts, over eight hundred pages, almost two years of filming, hundreds of visual effects shots, and a runtime nearly twice the length of any prior season. Everybody engaged in the project is ecstatic about the end outcome, and we can’t wait to show it to you. Season 4 will be distributed in two volumes due to its unparalleled length and to ensure that you receive it as quickly as possible.”

“There are still many more amazing stories to tell within the realm of Stranger Things: new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes,” the showrunner added. Stranger Things may get a sequel or spinoff series beyond the existing story and cast. It’s time for us to wrap up this story of a powerful girl named Eleven and her brave companions, of a shattered police chief, and a fierce mom, and the small town known as Hawkins and an other world known only as the Upside Down.”

Ahead of the premiere of the new season, the cast includes Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, and Brett Gelman as Murray (Dr. Brenner).
